Policies
*Deposit Policy*
A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to book any services at Southside Ashiatsu. This deposit will be applied to your total charge upon checkout. This deposit will be forfeited upon no show or late cancellation; it is not refundable or transferable.
*Cancellation Policy*
In respect to the business and therapist, we request that a 24-hour notice be given for any schedule changes and cancellation requests. Please understand if you cancel or miss your appointment within 24 hours, we are often unable to fill in that appointment slot.
We understand that emergencies and illnesses can occur at unexpected and inopportune times. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of your appointment time, please reschedule or cancel your appointment.
*Late Arrival Policy*
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time to ensure enough time to fill out paperwork, answer any intake questions, go over any necessary assessment, or to use the restroom. Appointment times are reserved for each client, and we cannot extend those appointment times without making the next client late. Therefore, arriving late for your appointment time may result in less treatment time. We do our best to keep our schedule moving on time.
*Inclement Weather Policy*
We will do our best to inform you as early as possible if we are closing or need to cancel due to bad weather conditions. We also request that you inform us if you need to do the same. Please do not risk your own safety trying to make it to your appointment.
*Inappropriate Behavior Policy*
Massage therapy and bodywork modalities are purely therapeutic. There is absolutely no sexual component to them at all. Any insinuation, jokes, gestures, inappropriate conversations, or requests will result in immediate termination of your session. Any future appointments will also be terminated. You will be charged the session fee in its entirety regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the severity of the behavior exhibited, we may file a report with the local authorities.
